Join the Division of Undergraduate Studies for a hands-on exploration of one of our neighboring border communities. Our partner organization, Via International, will lead us on an “insider” tour of Mexicali, allowing us to learn about the educational system of Mexico and issues related to migration, partner with local community members in a service project, visit neighborhood microcredit projects, and participate in unique cultural experiences. This 1-unit experiential course is open to all SDSU students and will satisfy the international experience requirement for students in the Liberal Studies major.*
Two separate Mexicali programs are offered each academic year: one during Winter Break, and a second during Spring Break.
